The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

I sent you 2 emails, but you didn't respond (I sent them to emails are private). That's why I'm posting here again. The OS X EULA that you showed me states that it is illegal to install the os on a non-apple system. It never states that it is illegal to discuss the subject manner. Regarding the forum rules, I realize that you don't want me to talk about the manner anymore. Why is it that the rules here are so overbearing? It's not against the law to TALK about it, only to DO it. Does apple pay you mods a commission or what?

Who is the you you are referring to?

NotebookReview sets the rules on what you are allowed to discuss and what not. This is not a democratic, public forum, this is a privately owned forum. If you do not agree with our rules, you may suggest a change, but otherwise, you follow them, or if you don't want to, simply don't join or login anymore.

NotebookReview does not allow or support any discussion on running Mac OS X on non-Apple hardware. That's all there is to it. If you would like to discuss that, I suggest you look into other forums, but not here on NotebookReview.

And just to clarify, no, Apple pays no money to NotebookReview. We moderators were all just members who joined and posted here, built a reputation and was asked to volunteer to maintaining NotebookReview's clean and family-friendly forums and enforcing forum rules.

There is no other discussion necessary for this topic, thread is closed.

At NBR, we have morals, community standards and over 100,000 members and growing...its pretty much it :).

NBR stance of OSX on PC is that if you want to OSX, get a mac computer(we have plenty of helpful members who will help if you decide to go that route.

Also every time, someone brings up OSX on PC, someone else provides instructions on how to do it resulting in them getting a temp ban(it happened recently).

Please respect the administrations decision on this topic and make sure you read the forum rules before posting.

PM me if you have any further questions as I do not respond to unsolicited emails.
