    I searched online and ive heard people saying its coming out jan 07, but others are saying its coming out when the santa rosa platform is coming out which is in the spring. so when the hell is is coming out? ive seen some of the features and it looks very promising.

    It's almost certainly not coming out January 2007. All Apple has really said is basically Spring 2007, so it's pretty up in the air.

    At this point Apple apparently hasn't even shown off some of the "top secret" features (at the last WWDC conference Steve Jobs made a point that they were keeping some of the cooler stuff secret so as not to show their hand too soon).

    I would expect that at Macworld in January to see Apple finally show off those hidden features (many people expect that Leopard is going to include a completely overhauled Finder, which is in need of it), and offer a more concrete release date.

    Spring 07, like the others have said. It will NOT be in January, and will not have anything to do with Santa Rosa. They may appear at the same time, but it would be mere coincidence. Look around April or May.
