My guess is spring will be targeting small hardware changes, in preparation for 10.8

I kind of wish they made the 'Mission Control' thing a download for SL... now. It makes working with the desktop much better. The iLife updates are cool, I might pick up the update. Also, it's cool that they are bringing the App Store for Macs, although El-Jobso was very light on the details for it. Does it mean iPhone apps will run on the Mac now? That part wasn't made clear at all.

Honestly, the iLife update was probably the only "major" update they announced. Mission Control, full-screen apps, and a new way of displaying Applications are very minor improvements. The App store for Mac isn't exclusive to Lion, so on the whole OS X 10.7 is extremely disappointing.

Yes, because they obviously must have shown every update for an operating system that won't be shipping for another nine months.

Hopefully by the time the Core 2 Duo processors reach their third birthday Apple will be able to design a new MacBook Pro 13 to take advantage of the new Core i processors.

not everything, but they made the main point clear... make OSX more like iOS. Even looking at the Mac App Store rules, its horrid... and they deprecated Java on OSX too... hoping some 3rd party will make it for the future I guess...

Some of the stupid new Mac App Store rules...?

Cannot use any framework or API that did not come by default on the OS or provided by Xcode.... also cannot use anything thats out of date or deprecated (including Java). (apple wants to make it just like iOS, where if you want anyone to see your apps and get them easy, you better only use what Apple says you can)

Games cannot have violence that shows animals or people being hurt, tortured stabbed shot etc... (Apple wants to kill off almost all gaming on Mac that isn't for 3 year olds)

Apps will be rejected if they repeat functionality of other Apps already in the store, especially if there are already many of them... and they'll be rejected if they are similar to Apple branded apps.

I don't need sarcasm to see your point, but it's not like things are going to get better from here on in. The features we saw are probably as good as its going to get, and that is still very disappointing.

I wonder if an application like "Horde of Orcs" would pass Apple's muster.

Will there be a loophole for non-human/non-animal victims? LOL

I got mine today today :D My first mac. I like the machine so far, although having to work ONLY with VoiceOver for the first 15 minutes or so was kind of annoying.
