well finally got to see and use my macbook and had a go at it, coming from an asus all I can say is the screen on the macbook completely destroys my 14" asus..i couldn`t believe how bad my asus screen looked when they were side by side. Very happy so far and now alot easier using a mouse with right click ..will probably have a few questions in near future..lol

Really? I prefer my old ASUS's highly glossy surface to my Macbook's less glossy surface. Although that's probably just because I use matte panels all the time.

I noticed a similar improvement on the macbook screen over that of my dell m1210, though the old ASUS Z63a that I owned had a screen that was as good as the macbook's.

Really? My old Asus Z63A screen was okay... I think the MacBook screen is slightly better.

I really liked how vibrant the Z63a was, and that it hadn't really experienced any diminishment in colour after 2.5 years. I also loved its keyboard and solid body. It was the first notebook that I owned and it was definitely an excellent choice. The XPS 1210 was good for travel, which is why it was purchased, but the screen was too small. The macbook's weight, power, screen size, and keyboard are the best of all the worlds I've enjoyed thus far.

my asus A8JM screen is alot more glossy when looking at them side beside. I actually had to shut off the macbook and re check if it even had a glossy screen. Also the whites on the asus are more yellow. I am super pleased with this screen. I will have to take a pic sometime to compare both side by side.
