    im in the market for a new notebook. I love the g4 pbs but how long do you predict the new G5s to come out? If the wait is too long, I think I may not have the patience to wait.

    I just read an article about how IBM is having problems producing the newer processor, it'll be into next year is my guess before we see such a thing.

    Andrew is correct about the timeline. It will be from 16-24 months before the thinner, liquid cooled G5, PowerBook will be available.

    I think that liquid cooling in the g5 pb is some kinda geek fantasy , but who knows. In any event, perhaps you should think of just buying the current edition laptop, since most people with half a mind wouldn't buy a Rev.A laptop. So, if the g5pb comes out in a year, you'll still have to wait for Rev.B My point: your current machine may not last you for two more years, so buy now.
