Ok, so i backed up my ipod, thanks to those who helped on that. now i'm thinking i want to just change the battery out, because I think that is the main problem with my ipod. I tried contacting my local ipod store and they can't even tell me if they have an ipod video battery in stock unless i make a technical advising appointment. so i hate apple at the moment due to that. so i'm thinking about changing the battery myself through this site:
    http://www.ipodhowtovideo.com/video/videobattreplacement.html
I just need to order the battery from somewhere. Is what i am doing a good idea? I also heard that if i let Apple handle the battery change, they will delete everything off my ipod. is that true?

my friends Ipod battery was dieing as he took it to the apple store and for 65$ they gave him a new video (the one he had was 2 years OUT of warranty).

I'd really consider hitting up the apples store.

I don't think its a good idea to change it yourself; just bring it into the Apple Store and usually the repair/change is quick and straightforward.

Eh, Why you didn't just post this in your last thread is beyond me, but just take it to an Apple Store.
