ok so i have command and conquer generals but the graphics suck...like the ground is just black instead of being like rocks and stuff. and i messed with the graphics settings and nothing helps. what do i do? also i found tons of updates for the game but have no clue what to do with them..do i open them through the game. or just open them to desktop and load them and then be set?

    Could be lots of things:

    - Textures corrupted with the game. Maybe a reinstall?
    - Update or switch your video drivers. What do you have now?
    - Also, you didn't specify your OS - is it XP or Vista?
    - Update the game. There's usually great guides to update, it's pretty much like downloading an exe file and running it.
