    I'm not sure i've never owned a mac before. but right now i have Dell dimension..I've been thinking about a Mac..but can i transfer files from the dell with windows vista with a mac with their Mac OS?

    Its very simple to transfer your files over. Mac OS X uses the same file formats as Windows, so transferring files are easy as dragging the files onto a flash drive or external hard drive and dragging them onto the Mac. And eternal has some links with more information.

    And to further fuel your interest in Mac OS X I once again recommend two articles so you familiarize yourself with the way OS X works.
