    hey everybody

i'm planning on getting a notebook and have settled on the macbook. i was going to order it within the next couple of weeks until i saw the "it's showtime" press conference and it left me with a slew of questions which i needed answered.

the itv that apple introduced didn't specify what type of wireless 802.11 they were going with and i understand you cannot upgrade the current macbooks to 802.11n

    1. the itv has an hdmi outlet on it. i assume that it will stream HD. if so, wouldn't they have to use 802.11n?

    2. if it is 802.11n will the merom macbooks be carrying this when it comes out?

    3. since microsoft already stated wi-fi on the zune, could not one assume that the true next-gen ipod will also carry n with the ability to stream it to your tv and also alleviate the concerns of wifi downloading because of the slow rate of g?

    4. would or could they come out with a macbook that has 802.11 g/n?

any help will be greatly appreciated thank you!

n wireless would most likely be preferred for HD content streaming, many brought up this point and suggested that Apple will be moving to n next year.

We don't even know when the MB's are gonna carry the merom, most likely 3-4 months after the MBP gets it.

Wifi on a ipod, I still dont get that. Something tells me the Zunes are gonna be 'virus-ready' as well, that is they put some windows media player on it.

They'll come out with n wireless, but not for a while. n wireless is still draft, its not made standard yet and Apple isn't gonna leap into that until its standardized.
