When is me.com going live.
I am looking forward to this. Plus a new Iphone lol.

was available temporarily earlier this morning, should be up sometime today or tomorrow for sure.
I know my account worked fine for a period of time, then went back offline, give it time though, should be very very soon. -
Probably tomorrow, I'm guessing, when Iphone 2 comes out.
-
Thanks Circa. I think the way it will push from Exchange servers will be the break Apple was looking for to get more into the corporate side of things. And I am happy to see. Downloading Movies to my Ipod Touch now from the Itunes Store.

yeah I had the chance to play around with all of the web apps for my own account, and they all work incredibly well, my Calender and Contacts were already Synced perfectly, and iDisk was much much faster.
It is all very well designed.
what is really cool about it for iPhone owners, is that even if you like using another email provider, like Gmail, which is the best out there in my opinion, you can still setup Push email by simply setting up the Gmail account to forward every message it receives to go to through the me.com account, and vice versa. And quite honestly, I am sure it won't be long before Google has their servers and possibly an app to do the exact same thing.
The big thing for me is push calendars though, being able to keep all of that in sync on my home system and on the go would be incredible.
What I am really going to love is the 20gb however, as a I use my iDisk as a way to host many types of files, I never have to deal with places like imageshack, again, not to mention upload limits, etc. etc. I can save a file directly to the iDisk, and it is immediately ready to be accessed at the proper address, uploading is kind of an invisible process.
I might have to give a little demo of this to show how nice it really is. -

I am really suprised they do not have MobileMe up and running yet, I wonder if it was just too much for the servers to handle? it must have just been other issues though. who knows.
-
it wont be stable till sunday at the earliest.
You basically have over 100,000 people trying to look at mobileme and set it up at the same time. -
I can't check my email since this morning.
At around 8am it let me in, the page was beautifully designed with the icons on the top left however when I clicked on the mail icon it took me to the maintenance page. -
My .mac web pages are offline. mac.com is down for the .me rollout. Bad form, Apple. Existing customers should not have their services disrupted. tsk tsk tsk. Hopefully all will be back to normal SOON.

I'm excited about MobileMe, this really is a better integrated service than say Windows Live. But for me, I still don't think I can pay $99 for it. I don't have an iPhone (iPod Touch) so its only limited Push for me anyhow, and I already have several email accounts and an external hard drive and multiple flas drives. Nonetheless, I like MobileMe!

For anyone interested; me.com is up and running. Been playing with it for the last ten minutes and I am blown away by the new interface. It's nothing short of amazing. My calendars show up exactly as they do in iCal. Everything about .mac that I didn't like is fully addresses with the new GUI. Well done apple.
Now I'm more tempted than ever to get an iPhone. But I'm in Canada and I hate rogers.
UPDATE: Looks like it went down again. It went slow first, and then there were areas that were non-responsive. I guess apple is still working to get it fully operational soon. I think I've decided to get an iPod touch as I have wifi just about everywhere I go, and at work. -
My .mac stuff was offline last night. This morning mobile me is working. I like the look better but they could take it a little further. They really could implement numbers, keynote and pages as web apps for a fully immersive mac experience when I'm away from my machine. Or, better yet, they could make mobile me a back to my mac "web terminal" so I could get stuff done from anywhere with a decent web browser rather than being stuck with windows when I'm away from home.
Overall, good job on mobile me. The gimpy way we used to have to access calendar is a thing of the past. -
So how do you sync your mac with Mobile me. My calendar, photos, files and contacts aren't on my mobile me.
-
...It's terribly slow this morning. Hopefully they will provision it properly for the demand or they might find the demand rapidly tapering off... -
If you just got a mobileme membership and trying to sync for the 1st time, good luck as it doesn't seem fully up and running just yet. Once it's up and running, under the Sync tab you can control what you want synced and how often etc...
I was able to see my synced info through Safari at www.me.com. The .Mac section under System Preferences isn't functioning yet for me; Log in error.
me.com When?
