    mbp sleeping ughhhh

    is there anyway to be able to shut off the..when u close the mbp it goes to sleep. cause i like to connect it to my moniter when im home but it looks dumb with monitor and mbp open so i have to leave my mbp open an inch so it wont go to sleep. like i want it to stay on when i close the lid.

    if you have external keyboard, close the mbp lid first to let it sleep, then press space bar (or any other keys) several times to wake it up. You should have your external monitor as your main screen.

    why not just share the signal across the two monitors?

    You could use InsomniaX to keep your MBP awake if you're on Tiger.

    Yeah, use InsomniaX if you don't want the Mac to go to Sleep when the lid is closed.
