Ok i thought i was just going to deal with this but, i think i have a problem. Is it just my computer or does the hard drive make minor clicking noises and quite a bit of humming noise?

    By the way it is a 2.33 core2duo 120GB 5400RPM Hitachi drive.

The hard drive is the most likely candidate.

If you are hearing clicking from the hard drive it may be dying. Do not trust that drive. Be sure to keep good backups.

    :D :D :D

You know, I had one of my HDD give me the bad response on smart. And what do you know... ran ntfsfix in linux, and it pretty much fixed the drive. Well, at least enough to retrieve the data before tossing it.

Yah, clicking generally isn't good. call apple for replacement.

To begin with, this is a Windows utility, not a Mac OS X one.

Disk Utility is built into Mac OS X and reports on S.M.A.R.T. status also (bottom of the window).
