Hi Im running 10.6.6 and firefox 3.6.13 and whenever i view flash the cpu is about 40% but when I "command +" to zoom into the page while flash video is playing the cpu goes to 100%. This also happened on 10.6.5. It happens on youtube and espn3.

    Anyone else having this issue?

Safari is fine when zooming into the page while flash video is playing. it consistently uses about 35% cpu.

Is the flash plugin up to date? Have you tried re-installing firefox?

Probably a bug between Firefox and Flash exclusive to the Mac version of either.

In anycase, I'm afraid Firefox isn't going to be so hot for OSX. I use Chrome and Safari. Chrome is definitely a better browser overall.

I like chrome and safari also but I use firefox because of addons. I use adblock plus which is awesome for firefox. Adblock for chrome and safari still needs improvements. Also firefox uses less ram than chrome and safari.

I switch to safari when i want to watch flash videos but I would like to just use one browser(firefox).

I will probably wait for firefox 4 rc. Was there a difference on cpu for firefox 4 beta to firefox 3.6.13 when zooming and watching flash?
