    I read somewhere that apple will allow you to use a max number of gift cards in a single purchase. does anyone know if there is any truth to that or maybe how many it is.

    Can I use multiple gift cards when making a purchase?
    Yes. You can use up to six cards when making a purchase at a retail Apple Store and up to four cards at the online Apple Store or when making a purchase through 1-800-MY-APPLE.

    the fact you can merge them is awesome news thanks. i got 6 cards and still dont have enough for my purchase. my birthday is in 2 months though and i may ask for gift cards again to try and get a little closer.
