I am relatively new to macs and I am trying to set up my Mail. I connected my Google account already. That was fast and easy. However, I am now trying to set up my school email account. Is this possible? I know it is a IMAP account type but I don't know the incoming mail server. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah just go into Accounts, and check out the small + button at the bottom of the list, there you can add as many accounts as you like.

How have you been getting your school email until now? You can probably find out your school's mail server from your old client, or you could just email the IT department and ask them, should be pretty straightforward. There's a good chance it's mail.yourschool.edu, but there are those that aren't - such as mine - we decided to name all of our servers after dog breeds. I can't tell you how many times I've misspelled "labradoodle."

as niemassacre stated.. it's best to just go upto the IT dep't of your school and ask them for the settings.
