the wireless router at work is not open for anyone to pick up. It is not passworded but you cannot pick it up on any wireless computer if you were just searching for a hotspot unless you type in the name. On my pc I had to preferred networks and type in the the name and then go through wireless network wizard and put the name in for it to pick it up. My question is how do i do the same on my mac? would I just click join another network and put the name in there? or would I create a network? please help

If your network is detectable, Airport will pick it up and you can connect to it in a few clicks. If your network is hidden, you can use Airport's Join Other Network button to manually type in the name of the network.
