Ready to upgrade the macbook with 1gb of ram. should I hit 2 gigs, or just go for the 4? Not sure if my tasks warrant spending the money for 4gb. I use my laptop mainly for:

    Adobe Illustrator
    Adobe Photoshop
    Final Cut Pro
    Adobe After Effects
    3d Max
    Adobe Flash & Fireworks

I dunno, what do you guys think? I dont mind spending the money if its actually going to help. I was going to buy from newegg. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...9121118&Description=pc5300&name=4GB (2 x 2GB)
the 4gb of corsair ram appears to be on sale for less than 65$, is that a good price?

    thanks in advance

Those programs are generally very demanding in terms of CPU, RAM, and HD requirements. I would definitely recommend 4GB of RAM.

You can get a 4GB kit very cheap now, for about $50-$60 (USD) from places like www.newegg.com.

At around $60-70 price range, there really isn't much reason not to go with 4 GB I think. You'll definitely feel a difference from the 1 GB you had previously, and 4 GB will set you quite well for the life of the notebook!

Get 2gb and a 7200rpm hdd. Or 4gb and a 7200rpm hdd if you have the cash.

Taking advantage of the newly opened Newegg Canada already, eh? :p

That looks like a great price. Corsair's a very reliable brand as well, jump at it!
