I have a black macbook and have had it for about a week, and it already has tons of finger prints and smudges on it. What's the best way to remove these?

Microfiber cloth from glasses would be good, if you have one lying around. If not, some soft fabric, like a sock or a t-shirt. You can also use that to clean the screen, just breathe on the smudges and rub. Use a little bit of warm water if it's necessary.

I've had my Black MacBook for about 8 months and each week I clean the screen with iClean or any one of a number of non ammonia screen cleaners and micro-fiber cloths or wipes. Just takes a minute.

Every smudge and fingerprint always comes off. I have no scratches or dings even though I travel a lot and use the machine 10-15 hours a day.

A number of the keys and the touch-pad have shiny spots on them where the matte finish has worn smooth from use, but that has almost always been the case over time on my notebooks that did not have shiny finishes. I prefer keys and touch-pads that start out shiny so they don't have that problem but unfortunately we start out matte on the Black MacBook

I own a T60 and it collects it's share of fingerprints too. The easiest and safest way to clean finger prints and smudges is by using a damp cloth with lukewarm water.

You'd be amazed how easy it is to remove fingerprints, oils and smudges from a black laptop.
