hi, i'm purchased my laptop nearly a year ago, and now, i'm beginning to hear a light 'clicking' sound... as if there was a fan was turning and it was hitting a sheet of paper.. i use my book at school, and it's really embarassing when teh rooms quiet and my laptop is loud, which is unusual for a mac. also, when i run multiple apps, my book gets nearly as loud as a pc... i'm not sure wat to do... luckily, they just opened up a macstore in louisiana, but i wont be able to go ther for another 2 months... any suggestions??

I would run compressed air (lightly) from right to left across the rear vent (beneath the screen/behind the Function keys) looking at the machine straight-on from the rear. Make sure the machine is Off and notice that you'll hear the fan spinning up a little as air hits it. This will likely blow away any lightly-stuck material/dust sitting on the fan which I think is the cause of the noise.

i have the same problem, mine happens only if I rev up my fan and then wait for it to die down. I sent my computer in for a repair and i am now waiting for the replacement fan to come in
