    macbook pro booting to black screen

    hi i have a brand new (a week old) macbook pro 13 everything has been great with it up until now. just this morning the mac was asking to do some updates and to restart so i did when it had finished doing the updates the mac went to a black screen and beeped. then it when to the gray screen with an apple on it with a progress bar when that was finished it now just boots to a gray screen (no apple) then goes to a black screen with a flashing courser and then restarts can anyone help

    I'd take it to the local Apple Store if there's one nearby.

    If not, then I'd try to boot it from another Mac to see if it's a hard drive issue. I would also try to boot another Mac from the local drive to rule out a few other hardware issues.

    well i found out that is not the OSX partition its the boot camp partition that is doing this i can boot into OSX fine it just wont let me boot into windows but i can still run windows from VM ware which is strange i have tried using the windows install disk to repair the windows partition but it says its fine i don't really no what else to do do anyone got some ideas
