hey guys, i purchased my macbook pro just like 3 weeks ago and last night i went downstairs to get some water and left unattended the laptop in my bed, then my 1 month retriever puppy pushed the laptop from the bed dunno how and now i have a huge dent in one of the corners = :)( my question is if this incident voided my warranty and if i dont qualify for an applecare plan, thx in advance for all the help!!

The dents shouldn't void your warranty but it is something that Apple likely won't fix as AppleCare (whether you are using the standard one year warranty or paid for the upgrade) user damage. This includes water, dropping the MBP, scratching it, etc. The only thing the warranty covers is defects that were an issue of faulty manufacturing. These defects could be observed immediately or present themselves over a long period of time (such as a logic board issue).

I think your puppy must've got back at the mbp for having taken too much of your attention.

    Sorry about the mishap though..

so that means that i can purchase the applecare thingy and it'll still cover any manufacturing issue?

Yes. You have up to one year after your initial MBP purchase to add AppleCare protection.

OP: is your floor carpetted? Our 13" Unibody dropped from a standard desk height first onto a chaise and then onto the carpetted floort, the outside of the LCD lid has a permanent 1" radius dimple from hitting the chaise, but I can't imagine the corners being damaged from a short fall like yours, unless you have concrete floors?
