How many of you who own the white macbook bought any of the palm rest, keyboard, or trackpad covers? I was just wondering because I have heard that without them, discolouration occurs and all that good stuff and I am one of those kind of people who likes to keep their electronics in the best shape possible.. Also, do any of you have a link to what you would recommend for a backpack to carry all the gear around?
Thanks

I don't use a backpack, I use a messenger bag, not sure if you'll like to use that too, but anyways I'm using a Marware Sportfolio for a 15.4-inch MacBook Pro. Yes, yes, I have a MacBook but I found the MacBook version of the Sportfolio was too small, so I got the MacBook Pro version of the messenger bag. Its very stylish, lightweight, the materials are good and the padding is good.
This is the MacBook version: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=99925BB3&nplm=TK032LL/A

The MBP and MB keyboards age quite well. Most PC keyboards look like garbage in a few months, the MBP ones seem to look good even after heavy use. I do put one of those microfibre cloths inbetween the keyboard and screen when the notebook is shut though.
I use a Wenger backpack for mine. It's very sturdy and subtly styled. -
Forgot to add that regularly cleaning it will help immensely. The reason they look like ass is because people don't bother cleaning it for months on end.
I still wouldn't buy white just because it will indeed get gross; cleaning it can definitely slow things down.
