I think the poster is saying the forum helped as a guide to buying the MacBook -- and that further questions in learning how to use it are forthcoming.

Well, either way, enjoy the new lappie!

Ya the MacBook is anouther great move on Apple behalf. A new affordable laptop that has the best in almost all the fields. An intel duo core for doing anything you want, nice screen, great keyboard, only this I had to complain on when I first saw it was the video card, but after looking back on it I think it was a good decission. I have seen the Macbook run Half Life 2, as well as CoD 2, I mean if thats not acceptable for people from a laptop graphics card when the laptop is under 1400-1500 then I dont know how to please people hehe.

    EDIT:
Ya your going to love your MacBook!

I have a suggestion before you even ask! As soon as you get the lappy, setup two additional accounts. You will have one by default, use it as your Admin acoount. Then setup another account with admin rights that you never use, ever. This is a great diagnostic tool. If something starts not working right go into this account. If the problem does not exist there, then you know it is basically a preference issue or something in your account. Easier to track down. Lastly make a limited user account. This will be your everyday account. In OS X you can run as limited user and your computer will actually work (unlike Windows). I always run limited. It requires a little more password entering but it is worth it. Whenever it asks to authenticate, just enter your admin name and password.

So, you need your normal admin account, your everyday limited user account, and your diagnostic account that is never used and has admin rights.

Wait Talimore did you just get your Macbook today?

Cashmonee I like the diagnostic account suggestion. thanks.

Looks like I'll be adding one more account later tonight, I know I could do it now since it takes like 10 seconds to do, but I'm lazy. xD

    No, not at all lol.

Its already charged for you. Just remember to do the battery calibration within the first week of having it, and like once every 2 months to keep it at optium performance.

I would assume you're gonna plug it in anyways when you start it up.

Well, it will state how to do it in your user guide, or you can type in spotlight and look for Mac User guide and open it from there, or in Spotlight type Battery and it'll give you the direct page to that in the userguide (spotlights awesome)

basically you run the battery down in power, and just before it turns off, save all your files and whatnot and let it sleep for 5 hours or shut it down for 5 hours, turn it back on and use it again while it charges (or not just let it charge) than you calibrated it.

    It's all in the manual.

Well xbandaidx almost got it, you have to fully charge the MacBook first and when its fulyl charged let it continue to charge in that state for 2 or so hours, then drain it down, and then let it sleep for 5 or so hours.
