Nice, seems like a lot of people are jumping on placing orders for the MBP now, good luck with getting it as soon as possible and everything working out.

Is the new MBP actually available to buy in a UK Apple store? Has anyone actually bought one from a store?
If it is I drop by tomorrow and pick one up if not I'll have to order online. -
-
Congrats. I'm getting ready to push the button myself (but no student discount!)

the nearest place to me that sells mac's is PC world and they dont even carry the pro line. just iMac and MacBook...to top that off they dont even have the updated versions
guy in the other tthread about the back light is american i think, and i wouldnt know, but the 2 week ish delivery time tells me mines not coming from the UK -
its got some power hungry kit remember
even though there will be a review or two by the time i get mine, is it ok if i still do one? always wanted to do a proper thorough review -

Just collected my 2.4ghz MacBook Pro from my local Apple store in the UK so yes they are available to buy over the counter. Apparently they won't be available to buy from a 3rd party retailer until 19th June.
Funnily enough when I went in they still only had the old models on display with the old labels and prices. The staff at the Apple store havn't had chance to update the display yet.
I've got it in the office with me now but I haven't opened the box yet. -
just payed out for a new 15.4 MBP
