just oredered a blackbook!

Hi guys, just ordered a refurb blackbook at apple. just wanted to share my excitement with everyone. this is my first mac. ive been a pc user my whole life pretty much and sold my dell e1505 for this mac.

wanted something smaller and nicer and this is the one.

 

How much did you pay for it? Was the refurbished one a good deal?

i got mines for 1049. came with 1gig ram, 120gb hd and superdrive. theres another black one with not as good specs for a little cheaper at apple.com

I ordered the same-speced refurb black macbook on Monday. Even after having done a lot of research, I'm still in doubt over my purchase and torn between the macbook, Dell's D630, and the Lenovo T61. The macbook just feels cheap, and a bit expensive (relative to the other two laptops), although the refurb price was a good price and that's what sealed the deal for me.

And apple screwed up the shipping as well. When making the purchase, it said it'll ship in 2-5 days and arrive in 6-8 days or something. I called them the next day. It had shipped immediately and actually arrived at destination yesterday. But I'm in a different city right now and the thing is just sitting in my room, perhaps waiting to be stolen! Had I known it shipped so fast, I would've sent it to where I'm staying right now...

 

Congrats on your purchase. The apple notebooks are made to pretty high quality. You should be pretty happy espeicially considering the deal you got on the black one. I cant believe Apple puts such a large premium for the black one. Whats next? Redbooks?

 

i know. the new prices are rediculous. im glad i waited and got up early enough to get a refurb. or else i would have got a white one.
