    how do I change the sound output of itunes form the macs internal speakers to my headphones

    normally if you plug in headphones it will do this automatically.

    You can also go in System Preferences and to Sound and choose inputs and outputs that are default for the system.

    Yeah the headphone port is pretty snug on the MBP's.
