Has anyone tried an invisibleSHIELD for their MacBook? Is it worth the $54.95 for Full Body Coverage? Or any of the others?
    Standard Coverage $39.95
    Wrist Rest Coverage $24.95
    Battery Coverage $17.95

I've heard about discoloration on the white MacBooks, which is just what I purchased. Is this true? Can anyone give me any information on it? If it is true, it would be a main reason for buying this. Thanks.

Also, (this question isn't related to the above topic) how long can MacBooks last? I'm hoping mine will last four years.

For the last part,it depends on how you take care of it unless you have a lemon.4 years is not hard IMHO.

I have that product for my Macbook Pro and like it very much. Ordering directly from the company that makes it, however, is a completely different story. It took them more than three weeks to ship my order, and that was only after I had initiated a PayPal dispute for an unreceived product.

If you want to purchase one, buy from one of their authorized resellers instead.

I have the wrist rest cover. It's great I only wish I would've gotten the full body cover when I first got the laptop. O well.

They're great for screens to protect them. They do not protect from abuse such as dropping or abuse.

Do I still need to worry about discoloration?

If you don't want to pay a premium for that... you should look into Best Skins Ever. I'm pretty sure they're essentially the same material, only difference is you get a Lifetime Warranty with IS. But with BSE, you're only paying about half the price. I have a BSE on my Macbook Pro for about 3 months now and I've no complaints so far.

I have used the invisible shield as well as the best skins ever shield. They are the same material and have almost identical cut. They both work as intended and protect the macbook very well from scratches and scuffs. You don't have to worry about discoloration. The skin will get more discolored than your macbook. This is from experience.
