Maybe not quad core CPU...but the other two things would be great! :p

And I moved this to the Apple forum, it belongs here :).

That is a lot more power than I need. But if apple puts discrete graphics and bluray drive in a mac mini, I would get that for sure. It would make a great media center.

I'm with you. With a Quad Core I'll be able to run all the VMs I need to without suffering as much as I am now.

When Apple releases Macs with Blu-Ray drives finally I will be putting my 17" Penryn Hi Res up for sale. Either that or just buy the BR drive seperate.... though it will probably cost a fortune.

I have a new car, and I'm not completely happy with it. I saved for about 3 years whilst driving my 91 Camry around putting over 200k miles on it, only to get a 2007 car that has had to go to the shop within the first couple of months and the problem still isn't fixed.

If your car doesn't have any problems, at least be happy for that.

Hrm... Well, I think we could see quad core this year. I'm not sure if Intel has them rolling off the lines yet, but they're pretty much ready from all the news about them lately. At least thats my impression.

How about built-in WWAN as an option? Most of the other top-end laptops have this (Lenovo, Sony, etc.). Sure you can use an expresscard for this, but who wants an antenna jutting out of their sleek black anodized aluminum (please, please) Macbook Pro case?

While we're at it, can we please get a decent docking station (capable of driving multiple monitors)?

I'm not a big fan of WWAN... as I have yet to have a use for it, and find it incredibly expensive, though I can certainly see the use/need for it. It should be an option.

And god... I WISH we could see a docking station. Replace the DVI out with a breakout connection for the dock.... PLEASE Apple!

But... they haven't done one ever... and I don't see them doing one in the future.

It would be nice if they changed the latch mechanism to a magnetic one like the macbook and mba.

i have an interesting thought here (I believe), the 8600 GT is twice performance as X1600, do you guys think that the next generation macbook pro will double the graphic performance again? if so, it will reach 8800m GTX level

Hard to say...I don't know if the 8800m GTX can fit in a 15.4-inch MacBook Pro...or actually work properly considering the heat.

But that'd definitely be awesome :D.
