Hi to all,
so, after reading a several comparisons between MS Office for Mac and iWork, I decided to drop the $40 (college student) and get iWork 08.
Overall I really like it a lot, especially the interface; I honestly tried NeoOffice for a full semester but found myself booting Windows' virtual machine just to use Office and write my papers.
However, I can't really use Numbers very well; given fairly simple tables with 2 series in 300 rows, as soon as I click on the graph everything turns reaaaally slow, even scrolling becomes unresponsive. Trying to change the graph's title takes a while just for the letters to be displayed... what's going on?
I'm using a MBP (2.2), Tiger 10.4.11 and all updates applied.
I read several people are facing the same problems; has anybody found a workaround?
Regards

I hate Numbers. I think Numbers is meant more for like eyecandy which is why its lacking alot of things. I think Excel on windows is the best one. Office 07 is the best. If I were you I would do parallels with xp and just get office that way.
Office 04 is horrible and Office 08 is a complete disgrace. They are both slow but office 08 is the slowest.
iWork 08 Numbers slow?
