    iPod promotion?

    I'm thinking of purchasing a MacBook soon and was wondering if Apple has their free iPod nano with the purchase of a laptop often? I remember checking back in the early fall and the promotion was going on, but it's not now. I was wondering if I could/should hold off and wait or just buy the MacBook alone.

    And yeah, I already have an iPod 4g, but getting a new, free one isn't bad either.

    Seems like Apple only has the free iPod promotions around summer. They are having a free printer promo now until Jan. 22nd.

    If you can wait then wait but I needed my MB before MWSF. Received it about 10 hours ago and loving every second of it!

    BTW, that ipod promotion was only for students.

    And I still have yet to get my rebate! >.<

    Right, I forgot to mention that. How long has it been? I'm about to send in the free printer promo rebate forms. My friend who did the iPod/Printer promo over the summer said it took about two months to receive 0_0

    Ohh... I turned them in online at the end of october or begining of november. I have to call Apple this week for some issues I've had with my MBP so I'll ask them then. I thought they had an online rebate tracker, but I can't seem to find it.

    I'm a student so I'll wait for the iPod promotion. It sucks that you have to wait a long time for rebates...

    Is Apple usually bad with rebates? And does it run any other promotions that might be better than the iPod one that I should wait for?

    I dunno. I'm not aware that they do promotions very often. The main reason why they had that one was to get rid of the current ipod versions. The deal ran out a day or two after the new ipods were released and it did not apply to those units.
    Which is why I sold mine :p

    I was actually going to buy a Sansa instead, but then found out it doesn't work with iTunes!

    The 'best' promotion that I know is the iPod + Printer promo during the summer. Other than that you're better off using Apple promo codes...
