    Hi all

I have new MBP and only now realized that iPhoto is missing on my Mac.
How can I reinstall it without loosing settings and files? Where to find it?

iPhoto is part of iLife. You should have it on a seperate install-disc.

Hmm. I don't have iLife (not a new mac), but it's given away free with all new macs. If you don't have it, you have to purchase it.

iLife is on the DVD(s) which originally came with your MBP. Pop in each DVD and run a search through them for iPhoto and it should find iPhoto.app
Then simply drag it to a folder of your choice on your HD.

you sure iphoto is not already installed? just because it isn't in the dock doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

open the finder, click on applications. make sure it isn't there.

as for the second mac os disc, that disc is ilife 08. the leopard operating system is only one disc (the first disc)

    good luck.

iPhoto should be there, if you have a brand new MBP. Do you have the other iLife applications?

So yeah, make sure the application isn't just missing from the Dock, and if not, the second Install Disc has the iLife suite.

    2nd DVD with X SDK
1st opens with install menu - I have
    1. Install mac os & bundled software
    2. install only bundled software

    I can't find any iphoto.app
