    Hi all,

Last night I had to restore my system from a full TS backup. Everything seems to be ok except not all my iTunes songs on the MAC will Sync with my iPhone. It said something along the lines of I did not have permission to play them on that device.

We are talking about 100 songs most of which were actually purchased from iTunes store.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Lol, it's so easy to tell a recent Windows switcher these days. xD.
Could you please clarify if the songs actually transferred to the iPhone or the just would not transfer and the message appeared?
When you restore your system you have to log into iTunes and authorize your system to play the purchased songs before syncing them with your iPod or iPhone.
Did you deauthorize before you restored?

i don't really see how this is really a Switcher related question, as this could easily apply to Windows or OS X, it is just an iTunes question really.

as mentioned, you should just have to go the the Store menu in the Menu Bar in iTunes and sign into your account to reauthorize the computer.

let us know if that solves the issue.

Yep, that was it. I simply needed to play one of my purchased songs on the MAC and then enter my password to authroise them, then re-sync.

Not a newbie MAC user question, just a Newbie iTunes question :)
