    iPhone always charging off Laptop.

    I finally did it. I got myself an officially unlocked iPhone from Italy. It cost me a fortune but I can finally be honest with my iPhone, tell it where I'm really from, update, restore. :)

    Because it's from Italy, the power cord isn't compatible. To be honest, I'd rather use the USB cable and charge it through my laptop. If I keep it this way, would it do the battery any harm or is it the same as plugging it to the wall?

    It's almost the same as charging off the wall except that it's using the battery's cells to charge. It will be perfectly fine although you will find that your notebook's battery will wear down a little faster.

    you can probably find an adapter for the outlet costing like 5-10 dollars. Probably left.

    it takes a bit longer to charge, but that's about it.
