I know this forum is mostly used for laptops but seeing how it's titled "Apple and Mac OS X" I thought well both of those apply to the iPhone so why not. I'm planning on getting an iPhone upon the update next year with 3G and such so I was wondering what stuff I should get. For you iPhone owners out there, what case do you use? Do you like it? Does it cover the screen? For you iPod and iPhone users, what headphones do you use? Do they sound nice? Do they have bass? Are they expensive? I'm thinking about getting the super. fi 4 vi for iPhone but I dunno if I want to spend that much

    Plz help,
    Samsung FTW

The iSkin Revo for iPhone is pretty nice, and its pretty protective too. Check that out.

As for earbuds, remember that the iPhone earphone jack is recessed, so not all earbuds will plug in properly unless you get the adapter thing.

Yeah I was thinking of the iSkin Revo it was the first case I wanted and I know about the adapter thing but I think these will work, if not, I'll just buy the adapter I guess...Although these are meant for iPhones so they should work without the adapter

If they're meant for iPhone, then they should work. I was just giving a friendly reminder in case you forgot/didn't know :).

I don't use a case. For me, cases are pointless. Why does it matter if the phone never scratches when it is under a case and I can't see it?! And for the record my phone looks almost like the day I got it 2 and a half months ago. Remember that the back is not shiny or as prone to scratching as iPods, and the front is glass, not plastic.

As for headphones, my wife and I both just bought pairs of Shure SE210's on Black Friday. I love them! They are great, and they fit the iPhone out of the box. Also, Shure sells an iPhone add-on that adds in mic and controls to the cord.

I also don't use a case and have had mine since October and still looks new.

I actually haven't used any headphones with it. I just use the built in speaker or plug it into my car.

Well I understand that some people don't use cases but I do so i think that it'd be best if we stuck to suggestions. I didn't want that to come out in a mean way if it did

The chrome around the edge of the iPhone is a total scratch magnet. Mine's in a case and still the chrome scratches. *sigh*

Really? I'm surprised at that...haven't heard too much about it.

What I really wish was Apple to get rid of the chrome back on the iPods and just go matte like the iPhone, or at least aluminum like on the second generation iPod Nano and Shuffle.

Hey does anyone have the Ultimate ears Super.fi 4 vi for iPhone? I want to know how they sound especially since Amazon is selling them for $65 instead of $150

I got this case for my iPhone. It does the job well enough and I like the integrated belt clip. Plus you can get it Pink, 'nuff said.

There's lots of tutorials on how to save you headphones down to get them to work with the iPhone. That's what I did.

I've seen that case before, it's a nice case, it's just not my "style". I don't need to shave the headphones down, I think I'm gonna get the Bose On-Ear Mobile Headset they're like $150 but I've heard the normal Triport On-Ear Bose headphones and they're quite beastly (yeah beast is my word). Has anyone seen these in the Apple Store? I mean, the mobile version not the ordinary ones

Yesterday my parents bought the Bose On-Ear Mobile Headset from the Apple Store for me as a Christmas present. The best part is that the microphone is detachable which is perfect for me because I'm not getting an iPhone til next year whenever 3G comes to it.

    Thank you Sam! =)

They're actually supra-aural and I'm in love with them I discovered bass in most of my songs and they seal out a lot of noise even though they're not noise-cancelling. Andddd, they work with my future iPhone without an adapter!

    I would call that content!

    =)

I am using the Incase iPhone jacket seen here. It is very form fitting and adds very little extra bulk to the phone. It does not come with a screen protector.

As for headphones, I love the paid I already have (Sony earbuds), so I purchased the Griffin headphone adapter. It works well and is flexible unlike some of the other headphone adapter options. It also comes with a head phone splitter so you can share the audio with a friend if you wanted.
