    Just a quick fyi.
Grab it via iTunes. So far no issues here with my 3G.

    Genius works well.
Backups are actually alot faster ~1min now (was ~10min)
SMS typing is now much less laggy
Didn't notice anything different with GPS yet... ie no turn by turn
No crashes yet (5 min of usage)

So all in all, nothing super, just the phone now running like it should have

How do jailboken updates work? I've got an unlocked 2G on 2.0.2. Do I just wait for a cracked update to 2.1 or will I have to downgrade/upgrade/jailbreak again?

You wait for a new version of pwnage tool to come out. Right now if you update to 2.1 with a previously unlocked iphone it'll stay unlocked but it won't be jailbroken anymore. Just wait for them to release a new version of pwnage.

Yeah the new 2.1 update is the best yet. Finally I don't have to wait 10 seconds for my contact list to populate and let me scroll through them. *sigh*

No improvement to my reception. :(

If this keeps up, I'm just going to have to send mine back.

Well I definitely have more bars, and less switches back to edge, so i'm guessing that means better reception, but perhaps its just a cosmetic change?

Or maybe your with optus and and the local roadworks cut a cable again.. lol

Does anyone know if it erases all of the apps, music, and movies after the update? How about any apps from jailbreaking (2.0-2.02 still had it when I pwned my iPhone again)? iTunes 8 messed up my applications by deleting all of them, and I'd prefer to keep them in the same order I have on my iPhone instead of getting a completely different order. BTW, QuickPwn couldn't come quick enough for Windows.

It's a lot faster and better than 1.1.3, and it crashes just as much. Upgrade already, the App Store and everything is worth it :D.

Yeah, I am on Virgin, but I always make sure to test with another phone too. My Nokia N95 gets over twice the download speed of the iPhone. It's quite frustrating, cause I love the iPhone apart from a few little issues.
