So now here we have educational discount for Apple so I am thinking about getting an iPad, in fact, I will not do any gaming , so either Air 2 or Pro will work fine for me, my only consideration is the durability and the portability.

    1. Which one has longer battery life?
    2. Would iPad Air 2 get "outdated" more quickly? We know that iOS often updates and I had the bad experience in the past that I updated my older device and it then rendered useless because the hardware couldn't support that, which made the device so slow

Will iPad Pro go through a longer time?

In fact Air 2 should be enough for me, but could it last another 2 years if I keep updating the iOS?

The iPad 2 is on it's way out, and is only available in 16GB and 64GB. The CPU will soon be 2 generation behind when the A10X is released, you may get 2 good years out of it. Battery life is rated at 10 hours for both models.

If I was on looking at buying a new 9" iPad the Pro would be my choice. I would however recommend waiting till the sept announcement which may also reveal A10X based iPads.

    Thanks for your information

How about Mini 4 and iPad Pro?

Regardless of their screen size, any big difference in the overall performance?

    Thanks so much!

The mini 4 even though it was only released last year runs on a A8 which is also getting old. I plan on replacing mine next year unless I ditch it altogether for the latest iPhone Plus.

How about iPad Pro or iPhone 6S ?

Assume that you don't make phone calls, should I get a bigger mon of 6S or an iPad Pro, if I could only buy either one of them in terms of budget

    Hard to make decision!
