    iMac to HDTV

    Hello, I have an iMac 21" my dad bought it from the apple store about a month ago and he wants to hook it up to our HDTV so i researched but i get so confused with all the ports and adapters so could someone show me a link to get this adapter we the hdmi to hdmi cables so they will have to be compatible with those. Thanks :)

    o also will this hdmi cable be able to play audio because my i mac is a few rooms away from ur tv so would we need an audio cable too?

    It should, you may have to play with the settings under the OS though. And if you are looking at some great distances (<25ft of cable), you may also need higher-quality cables or a booster but I'm no expert on that.

    Well we got it all set up but unfortunately we have fuzzies all over the screen. My dad calls it noise. I'm not quite sure what the problem is, but i do have a hint thanks to JCMS, so i guess i will need a booster but i'm not sure what this is or where to get one (could i get one at radio shack). So if anyone has anything to say please do :) thanks

    possibly... if you want to pay 2 times too much.... from what I've seen HDMI signal boosters are very expensive. just google search for stores selling a HDMI signal booster.

    the cable is 40 ft with 2 hdmi to hdmi adapters, and the mini dvi to DVI, and the DVI to hdmi adapter

    Yeah for 40ft you would need a booster, or a monster cable, but the booster is cheaper. I think boosters are going for about $50. You should go into an electronic store (not radio shack but some stores who sell all kind of electronic stuff, from resistors to microchips to power grid etc
