I'm off to buy a 14" 1.33 combo iBook now. The salsman is offering me 1515$ CAN = 1200$ USD for it. Is that a good buy or should I wait some more cuz of intel and all that? I'll only use it to do the basic stuff. nothing fancy.

    thanks!

looks like a decent price for a combo drive unit, excellent price for a superdrive unit. Check out

    http://www.macmall.com/macmall/families/ibook/

before you buy, they are offering a free printer, $39.95 for 512 meg ram and a free carrying case ("free" means after mail in rebate).

The 14" ibook is a great machine for basic stuff.
