    iBook 12" - battery life

    Hi, can some of you experts and/or owners of this machine tell me the amount of battery life you get out of it while simply surfing the internet and wordprocessing? They quote like 6 hours on their site....so I just want to see what y'all really get. Thanks.

    I get about a little over 4 on full charge while doing Everything but gaming.

    they say 6 but thats like while idle.

    U'll get about 4 if ur not gaming.

    wireless off i can get about 6 hr 20min, wireless on, i can get about 5 1/2 hours.

    plus bluetooth is also off and i have it on some custom reduced settings. (faster time out for screen, always reduced processor, and spin down hard drive when not in use). And i am using it constantly so the screen is always on (and on low brightness as well). So there claims of 6hrs is accurate.

    For intensive apps like watching DVDs you're looking around 3.5 hours.

    heres a twist....whats the worst battery life you've ever gotten....

    blue tooth on
    wifi on
    screen bright
    ..you know..just trying to get the battery down

    hmm, might have to try that some time.

    The closest thing to draining it quickly ive done would be my playing starcraft on battery with the cd's imaged to my drive. With a full charge, i think i could go for about 3 hours. (with my reduced settings on of course)
