    i came across this today. i like the fact that it comes with a card reader and usb ports but i could spend less money and buy those separately. so my question is are coolers like these actually worth the money? my macbook does seems to run OK under normal use i dont think ive sen the temps above 60 C.

    Laptop cooler's can reduce the heat by a few degree's. There are heaps of review's out there on them, a quick search of the forums will find some.
    I have used a number of these, but to be honest I don't use them anymore, unless your using your laptop in a hot room, and at full tilt for hours then there isn't much point.

    I always use my laptop cooler and it makes a huge diffrence in the performance due to less heat

    I agree. I also got a notebook cooler. It makes less noise when turned on low because the macbook pro nevers turns the fans up. And even when the notebook just stands on the cooler rather then on my wooden desk the fans come on much less.

    Well, for my IBM T40, I never use a cooler, but for my wife's Acer Travelmate 2400, I have to use a cooler for her because if I did not, then the screen will freeze up
