Yeah, if you've got a wireless network, the easiest way is probably to create a shared directory on your PC, and then access that shared directory on your MacBook (it should show up in the Network section), and you will then be able to copy stuff over fairly easily.

There are other options as well (i.e. if you don't have a lot of stuff, just burning a CD or DVD or transfering using a USB flash drive).

Or enable Windows sharing in the Sharing preferences on the Macbook and connect from the PC (you are given the address to connect to in the Sharing preference pane). Very easy.

A bit off topic, but inline with wanting to read files from a different source. How can I read from a CF / SD card on a MB? Will it recognise the "normal" card readers?

Most any USB card reader you would find today works just fine in OS X without needing any drivers. It will usually state quite clearly in the product requirements though, but you should be fine.

Flash cards should be no problem Wail.

As for easy ways to transfer files from PC to Mac, get a large USB key. You can find 1 GB thumbdrives for pretty cheap these days. Just dump the files on the thumbdrive and copy them over to the Mac. That way you don't have to deal with trying to setup a multi-OS network. Now if you will be doing it a lot or will be transferring very large files, then a network is the better way to go.
