Does anyone know how to offer a high rez version of an image on a website, if the person is on a retina device?

Well I'm not a web developer but I think you can use Javascript to do it or you set your website to read the User-agent and accordingly adjust the Image rez (not sure about this one though) so when someone visit with a new Mac the HD version of the page will automatically show

Edit: I know It's java script but I didn't think it would matter cause all the info can be found in the link :|
