my friend has an apple laptop (powerbook i think) and doesn't know where the eject button is on the chassis.

can anyone point it out to me?

It usually is on the top right hand corner of the keyboard. It has a key dedicated all for itself. The key looks like an arrow pointing upward, but cut into 3 parts.

F 12 is the eject key. If problems are experienced ejecting a disc, try holding down the mouse key durning boot up.

note that you have to hold the button for a couple of seconds before OS X ejects it. You could also click on the eject symbol next to the disc in the finder, or also drag the disc to the trash.
