I just installed windows vista 32-bit on bootcamp, my problem is that when i am using vista, there is this high pitched noise coming from the laptop, but the noise isnt there when i use leopard. I am wondering if anyone knows why it does this?

I bet you have a mac book pro model 1,1 like me. Its normal. It has to do with the way the heat sink, solder and thermal past interact. The same thing happened when i installed Leopard. The noise should go away when you do something processor intensive. It will only make the noise when its at idle. You can press apple care to fix it for you or run a program in the background to keep things quiet. This is a known problem now that the new OSes are very processor efficient.
If you don't think what i am saying applies, there could be something wrong with a cooling fan.

It seems like every laptop has this kind of high-pitched noise(sometimes it is just too slight to be noticed). macbook pro of previous version has this problem, and apple has an knowledge base article for this
