hi, my name is sarah and i just purchased my very first macbook. i got the 2.1 ghz refurbished one. i am dying to get it and i was just wondering if anyone with past experience with apple orders/fedex could tell me how long it will be until i get my macbook. i used standard shipping (which i regret now, i wish i had paid extra to have it sooner). it says it supposed to be delivered the 13th but i was wondering if friday would be likely or even thursday?!?! thoughts please. heres the tracking information so far:

I'm very impatient when it comes to getting stuff shipped to me, if it is something I just really can't wait for, I call up UPS, or FEDEX... whoever, and make arrangements to pick it up, gotta watch the tracking carefully tho, and call them as soon as it states your package "Arrival scan". A few times this has helped me to even get my package a day before.

thank you so muchh! i am definitely going to do that!

I and my family have ordered few Macs directly from Apple, in my experience Fedex mostly delivers one day before the estimated day, it has happened twice with me and once with my cousin.
I wish you best with your order, hopefully you'll be enjoying your first macbook pretty soon. -
thanks that makes me feel better...i'm so anxious!! haha i want my macbook!!

It looks unlikely to be delivered before the estimated date since it's going across the country from sac to NY since I'm assuming the standard shipping is ground. At most Friday if you're lucky, but probably don't hold your breath waiting for it.

Since that data came from FedEx, I would guess that it'll show up on that date. I've never had FedEx deliver a package early...
My brother ordered a refurb unit a few months ago, and it took four days to get from Sacremento to Los Angeles (Plus the two days he spent trying to arrange a pickup time since he works 12 hour shifts).
The biggest thing you should know about Apple shipments... You must be there in person to sign for it, or you aren't getting it. FedEx/UPS won't leave Apple shipments on your doorstep.
You won't regret the MacBook though. It is well worth the wait, and in a few weeks you won't even mind the time you spent waiting a few extra days. If you still feel bad, get some RAM sticks for it with the money you saved.
help please!
