    I'm concerned about heat dissipation.

How is the ibook's heat dissipation? Does it get hot that it distracts you>? Makes you uncomfortable?

my asus z9 could get kinda hot, so i'm a bit worried.

Since it is a 12" Laptop, i will be carrying it around the house to work on my lap. so i do not want it to burn my skin, have any of you had this experience on your ibook?

thanks in advance, answers are welcome!

    (i like numbers, thanks!)

I'm not an ibook owner, but have used one before. They don't get very hot at all from my experience (although I imagine there will be some heat). The guy that owned the ibook left it on all the time plugged in at night and it wasn't hot when I picked it up, so I don't think heat will be an issue. I'm not sure of the exact temp it gets though.

I have 12" IBook G4 1 GHz with 768 megs of ram and the stock 30 gig 4200 rpm hard drive and it does not get hot at all. In fact it is the only laptop I have used in recent memory that I can use on my lap to surf the web and watch TV for a few hours (running on battery) and it doesn't burn my legs. It really is nice and cool. There are no vents on the underside of the case either. With the screen dimmed about half way I get about 4 hours, maybe a little longer, when surfing the web/email/etc. It is a great little internet machine.
