    forgive if there have been threads on this already, but my friend search bar took me to threads with games that i gotta pay for. and i was wondering what kind of free games (americas army??) would run decently on the macbook?

    Macs have games? ;) JK, I've played Battle for Wesnoth and WoW on my wife's laptop... But in all reality if you like gaming you'll need windows. You could do bootcamp and run Windows natively... Pick up a cheap copy of XP or something.

    Haven't tried americas army, but for commercial games I enjoyed Call of Duty2.

    Haven't really found many free games that I enjoyed. There was one (more of a short intro) Battlestar galactica type game (non-licensed so it differed enough from the tv show) called Beyond the red line. It uses the freespace engine and is relatively fun, if that's your cup of tea :)

    Hrm, Freespace 2 SCP is a nice game. I don't know if it would run on the MB though. There are a few stability issues still, but on the whole I found it enjoyable on my MBP.

    I was wrong about Beyond the red line. It IS a Battlestar Galactica game (freespace engine) just fan created, so Universal don't get mad....
