We all know that the f1-f12 keys have their own functions. But I used to always use those keys for other things in World of Warcraft (on a PC that is). Now that I'm on a mac, I can't use the f keys even if I keybind them. Is there a way to disable them for just this program?

And on a side question, is it possible to make a partition with boot camp and then have vmware or parallels run off that partition? Or do I have to install windows twice for boot camp and vmware/parallels?

Are you talking about disabling them in Windows? If so, you can go into Control Panel > BOOTCAMP > then you should see a drop down on the top of that window, and that will allow you to set the f1-f12 keys to the Windows equilivents, or use them as you would in OS X. As for the Boot Camp question, you install your Boot Camp partition once, and then you can choose to use that partition in VMware/Parallels. :)

Oh sorry, should've been more specific, I meant disabling them in OSX, since I'm playing WoW in OSX. I notice running WoW in fullscreen mode disables some of the keys such as f3 and f4, but there are still some that retain their original function.

System Prefs>Keyboard/Mouse and uncheck the little box that binds F keys to functions.

You can use Circa86's app fn

Pretty useful if you keep turning it on and off.
