    hey guys...i just bought a macbook and im searching for an external hard drive and an external monitor. can anyone suggest anything that is affordable but still functions well..also what should i b looking for in these external devices?

    For your hard drive, I would recommend finding something with a FireWire 400 port, so you can keep both of your USB connections open (and have better performance anyways). Beyond that...just use newegg.com to get good prices :p
