I dont have a mac anymore, dont ask, anyway you just use nero exactly the same way as an dvd-r and dvd-rw or +

Why do you want to use dvd-ram , you are better off using dvd-rw they are a lot more compatiable.

    where are you located again?

If you have a super driver, a quick google search says it does not support dvd-ram, though we would need you drive model number to be certain , can you download nero info tool it will tell you what disc your dvd-rw will support.

From nero info tool, apparently, the macbook pro can only read from dvd-ram and cannot write to it!!!!I didnt expect this from such a new machine.

DVD-RAM was basically the first writable DVD type ever out... its been replaced by DVD-R DVD+R DVD+RW and DVD-RW... its really old junk that is best not ever used.

just like some old Floppy disk, if you want to use one, best to buy an external drive that supports it fully.

WHOAH!!!!!, DVD RAM is pretty much the primary disk fromat in many disc based camcorders as well as some disk based cineotography units. it may be an old standard but until the mount ranier standard was implimented in dvd+/-R/RW it was the defacto standard with defect management. you dont see it alot in low end computers but high end AV equipment, set top boxes and, high end computers especially used for video editing.

anytime I walk into the local TV station you see racks of DVD-RAM because they are still the best for on the fly rewrites.. even over the new standards they just moved away from mainstream

DVD-ram also has 100x the amount of re-write capability of RW.

DVD-ram, is good for MORE than 100,000 re-write cycles, while the RW format is around 1000.

yeah, that's what i thought while getting these dvd-rams. old means that it must be surely supported and i also heard that ram is wayyy better than rw....it's just too bad that the superdrive doesn'y support it... :(
